Bio

My name is Chris and I am an audio nerd based in London, UK. Denizen Audio is my personal brand of computational creativity that began as a sonic journey: a collection of all my own creative audio endeavours as well as a development of my sound design and audio engineering practices. Now Denizen Audio has morphed into a multiamedia venture, delving into the realms of interactive applications, live audio-visual performances and post production audio.

 

 

  My journey has taken me from drumming around the world and running studio sessions to Foley & ADR recordings and sound design for virutal reality art installations. It started with a life of drumming in bands, which in turn developed into an interest in the studio aspect of music creation. As part of this process, I recieved an NVQ in audio engineering from Alchemea College (RIP) and a first class BSc (hons) in Sound Design from London South Bank University, also winning the prize for accademic excellence in the school of creative technologies. I am now in the process of studying for the Creative Computing MSc at University of the Arts London, with which I aim to honing and formalise my computational skills.

 

My aim going forward is to continue honing my craft in the field of sound design for game and film, whilst continuing to develop my multimedia creative projects; wiritng audiovisual electronic music music under the moniker Sub Denizen (my self-released debut album Ad Nauseam was released on 18/12/19), creating sureallist audiovisual experiences with the Unity Game Engine and other forms of creative computation.
